Terms of Use (EULA)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SwiftTrans macOS application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

2. Standard EULA

SwiftTrans is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of the App is subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which is incorporated herein by reference.

3. Purchase and Payments

SwiftTrans pricing and billing terms changed in version 2.0.0. The following terms explain both the historical (1.0.0) and current (2.0.0) plans.

  • Version 1.0.0 (historical plan): SwiftTrans offered monthly and annual Pro subscriptions.
  • Version 2.0.0 (current plan): SwiftTrans offers a monthly Pro subscription and a Lifetime Pro one-time purchase. New annual subscriptions are no longer available.
  • Monthly Pro subscription: Billed through the Mac App Store, auto-renews unless canceled in your Apple ID subscription settings, and remains active until the end of the current billing period after cancellation.
  • Annual subscription transition: Users with an active annual subscription at the time version 2.0.0 was released keep access until the current annual period ends. The annual subscription then expires and does not renew.
  • Free migration offer: Eligible users in the annual subscription transition group are offered a free migration to Lifetime Pro for the same Apple ID account.
  • Lifetime Pro one-time purchase: Paid once through the Mac App Store with no recurring charge. Pro features are available on Macs signed in with the same Apple ID.
  • All payments are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple ID. Refunds are handled under applicable law and Apple's refund policies.

4. Translation Services

The App integrates with third-party translation services (e.g., Google, Bing, OpenAI) as well as Apple's built-in Translation framework for offline translations. By using third-party services, you agree to comply with their respective Terms of Service.

5. Limitation of Liability

SwiftTrans is provided "AS IS". We do not guarantee the accuracy of translations and are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App.
